However, avoid downbeat entertainment that wallows in stress and depression. These works may have a kindred spirit quality to them, but they will eventually make your feel worse. Avoid them and stick with upbeat material instead.

Pick up the phone and call your friends. Often, simply talking with other people can help improve your mood and make stress and depression a distant memory. However, it is best to stay away from glum topics. People may not respond positively to someone who is downbeat. Try to keep your spirits up when chatting. Do this and soon your problems will disappear from the equation.
